Air screen cleaners are a staple for any seed processing plant. They are used in a variety of applications to remove chaff, light seed, and broken kernels. This type of seed cleaning equipment is the ideal solution for producers who want to eliminate a majority of foreign material in their process before the product makes its way through the fine cleaners and graders. Air cleaners work by using a combination of suction air and screening principles to clean grain as it falls from the hopper.

A basic air screen cleaner utilizes suction air to draw light grain, chaff and dust away from the products as it drops onto the screens. This action is accomplished by an air curtain which can be equipped with a number of screens to help ensure that only the desired grain and chaff make their way through to the following cleaning decks in the system.

Once the light foreign materials have been removed from the product, it enters a screening box which uses a precision punching screen to separate large and small particles based on geometry size. This process can help to eliminate above 90% of bad seed, including blighted seed, budding seeds, deteriorated seeds, moldy seed, and non-viable seed. The remaining good product will then pass through the back half of the screen where it is separated into different levels based on width and thickness.

Then the material can be separated into big, middle and small size through different sieves and it also can separate stones (depending on geometry size of the stone) with the help of vibration grader. The whole machine consists of Dust collector, Bucket Elevator, double Vertical air screen and vibration grader. All the parts are made of high quality stainless steel to protect it from corrosion.
